Pleased to meet Dionysus. Not the god of wine, but the new It bag of this season. Alessandro Michele, the designer of Gucci, presented this bag during the fashion show for Fall/Winter 2015. It is the perfect blend of seventies glamour and relaxed luxury, somewhat posh as well as eccentric. It comes it two sizes and each bag has either the suede or python trim on the flap closure. The standout double tiger head closure is a reference to the Greek God as he crossed a river on a large tiger according to the myth. The GG canvas gives this bag a vintage look and the sliding strap enables you to carry this bag in multiple ways. The Gucci Dionysus perfectly fits in the ‘nerdy girl’-style of this fashion label. Another cool fact is that the designer launched Gucci Dionysus City Bags dedicated to the world’s most dynamic cities: Rome, New York, London, Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Dubai. These limited edition bags will carry a special version of this icon in the flagship stores of those cities, e.g. London will be decorated with a snake and roses, while the New York bag features hearts, a pair of lips and pink lightning bolts and Dubai, well see for yourself:
