20 Jan Daphny Raes Bags
I am just unable to express how much I adore the bags by Daphny Raes, a young and upcoming fashion designer. From her childhood on she was determined to do something with fashion. After she graduated from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute, Daphny decided that she wanted to start her own label in Amsterdam. Leather is her passion and her main inspirations are architectural shapes and contrasting materials. She designs and creates these bags by hand using different techniques and they are therefore all unique. These bags have a natural appeal, are timeless & fashionable and they give a strong & feminine look.
I had a blast shooting these pictures! These beautiful accessories just made me want to dance (although it was free-eezing)! Do you recognize the location of this shoot? It is the creative hotspot of Amsterdam, known as the NDSM-werf, and it just felt right to shoot here as it is unique, outside the box and has a twist. I hope you fall in love with this label the way I did!
The collection of Daphny Raes consist of the Backpack ‘Square’ (my personal favorite), Braided Shopper ‘Gloom’, Laptop clutch, Bucketbag ‘Croco’, Drawstring Backpack, Shoulderbag ‘Trio’, Bumbags and so much more, all available in different delicate colors and earth tones. She also sells her bags at Etsy and Boticca and this weekend she will be marketing these beauties at the Local Goods Market in the Hallen in Amsterdam, which is a fashion special by FashionWeek.
