16 Nov Top 12 bag trends Spring/Summer 2016
Winter has officially started! It is cold, it is grey, it is windy, it is rainy and some snow even. However, to escape from this weather and to forget about my warm boots and woolen knits for a second, I was caught daydreaming about summer dresses, big flappy hats and the new bag trends that I saw in the new Spring/Summer 2016 collections that were shown in the fashion capitals New York, London, Milan and Paris. I must admit that it took some time to recover from all the excitement but now that I did, I reviewed these collections again and I really want to share the top 12 bag trends for Spring/Summer 2016. And I can tell you that it is going to be one bright, bold and beautiful summery time! For all the trendsetters, I also included links to similar bags which you should check out (some are in sale)! Anyway, enjoy and I would love to hear which trend is your favourite!
Tommy Hilfiger proves that your beach bag is ready for city life. The Caribbean colours lighted up the catwalk and assured a relaxed reggae feeling. Because life is a beach, right? Get here the best start of your summer!
Marc Jacobs shows that adding a lot of applications is a lot more fun, especially when it comes in a cool messenger shape! There are a lot of flags, crystals and American prints. The bag is big and does remind a bit of the Forties, the years of World War II when practical shoulder bags were chosen over feminine clutches. This is your best alternative!
Do it the playful-fringe-tory-burch-way! Tory Burch creates items that are both functional and contemporary. The models looked fresh, confident and fun with the fringe and the crisp cottons in the soft tones combined with fresh summer tones. Click here for another maxi fringe bag!
Anya Hindmarch came earlier with funny Kellogs’ fashion flakes, road signs and stickers that enables you to personalise your bag in a hilarious way. But this season she shows more serious items with stiff diagonal lines on the bags. The outfit is actually a complete match as the scarfs, outfits and shoes all have the same line up, completing it – of course – with a edgy Anya Hindmarsh item. The relentless looks of JW Anderson have been created because the idea of a uniform appealed to him. And which bag does fit better than the messenger bag? Some of the models carried two of these bags, each of them on a different shoulder so they crossed. Maybe two are a little bit overdone for you, but please consider to carry at least one coming Spring Summer! This messenger bag is in sale, so hurry up!
Give me orange, pink, red, yellow, green and fuchsia! Christopher Kane brings in an audacious color explosion in London. With the neon lace and patent leather we can wear whatever we want as long as it does involve bright colors! And for all the diehards who love pink, you might want to check out this bold colored bag.
Moschino – Just keep up the boldness and you are good to go as long as you make sure you do it in accordance with the traffic signs! Until it is in store, this is your best alternative in terms of audacity!
The basket made of straw is the ultimate fashion statement according to Dolce Gabbana. And to make this bag ‘Instaperfect’, make sure the necessary embellishments are added. As so many bags of this label are to die for, we understand that they encourage to carry multiple bags. So what do you think, are you up for bringing two bags or will you stick to one, unadorned bag? And trust me, this bag comes close to this beauty is holding below.
Valentino shows tribal scenes from Africa blended with its famous and recognisable rockstud, one of the few things that give sign of Italian legacy. Like the dresses, the bags have an exciting leopard print and leather lines decorated with traditional prints (similar one here).
Did your hear the whispers? Is this the new It bag? The new bag by Chloé, the multi-fringe Jane bag is the must have for spring/summer 2016. Keep your outfit sophisticated and optimistic, and you might call yourself a Chloé girl! Sorry girls, there is no alternative available…
Is fashion becoming a travelling spectacle? I don’t know about that, but I sure like the pieces of luggage that were showcased during the fashion show of Chanel. And keep in mind that the required luggage involves a square bag. So if you are planning to go on a trip any time soon, make sure you check out this quilted box bag.
Dior showed a largely soft palette that makes his accessories shine bright like this indigo duffle bag and simple jewelled silver chokers. So here is the final tip, keep your dress refined and simple and add a bold and striking bag. This is a perfect possible choice for trendsetters!
