October Bag Crush

October Bag Crush

October is here!! That means that FashionWeek is over and that we have an overload of inspiration. Because not only did we get excited by all the beauty that we saw on the catwalk for Spring/Summer 2017. We also paid close attention to our favourite bloggers and other fashion influencers who at least changed their outfit 3 times a day and happily shared their look on Instagram and Snapchat. This also results in a very hard decision on which bags should be in the October Bag Crush! So I carefully opted for these three amazing bags, all from upcoming designers.

Elena Ghisellini

Sandra from 5 inch and up carried an amazing bag from Elena Ghisellini during New York Fashion Week. It is the perfect companion for every day with a chain handle detail. The roomy interior is not only ideal for Fashion Week, but also for every other day in your busy life. Besides her own label, Elena Ghisellini has created handbag designs for Salvatore Ferragamo, Trussardi and Givenchy. Ghisellini’s own label is based on a principle of producing innovative bags in butter-soft, highest quality leathers that fuse couture-like finishing with a clean modernist simplicity.

Michino Paris

Helena Bordon was carrying a Michino Paris bag during Milan Fashion Week. Yasu Michino was born in Tokyo, raised in new York and is currently based in Paris. His motto is to ‘Take your life in a bag. Take a bag for your life. Make a bag full of surprises. Carry it with you and let it fulfill your life.‘ In 2014, he launched his own brand after he has been designing leather goods over a decade for Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy, Sonia Rykiel and Delvaux. His designs are a mix of understated French chic, Japanese Sobriety and American practicality.

Bao Bao Issey Miyake

Carrie from Wearwherewell.com wore this amazing look during New York Fashion Week. She took a casual approach and decided to add this amazing Bao Bao Tote Bag to make it a bit edgier. Since its inception in 2000, Bao Bao Issey Miyake has created bold designs that stand the test of time and practicality. I love the adjustable handles for fit, and a single internal zip-fastening pocket for organisation.
