29 Oct The ultimate USA road-trip!
It all started with an idea. A vague plan that we were only discussing with each other. A couple of months ago we started planning, as we had decided that this idea should become reality! Determining which way to go, which places to visit. Setting a schedule, and changing it again! But today, 1 week before we leave, it’s all set and I’m super excited to tell you that we are going on the ultimate USA road-trip! On Saturday my husband and I will start driving from Houston and our finish will be New York for Thanksgiving! We have three weeks to arrive and we will make stops in Memphis, Nashville, Savannah, Charleston, Asheville, Charlottesville and Washington! I pinch myself every time I see this itinerary! We will cross 9 of the 52 States of America and we will be driving more than 2,300 miles, which is more than 37 hours in a car. And of course I will be sharing everything on my Instagram and this blog! As I really think that you should go on a road trip one day yourself as well, I share with you my thoughts on why go on a road-trip!
Why go on a road-trip
Traveling is fun no matter what mode of transportation you use. However, I think that going on a road-trip is one of the coolest ways of traveling. There is something alluring about hitting the open road to begin a new journey. It gives you the ultimate feeling of adventure, enables you to stop wherever you want and you are free as a bird as you set your own schedule! And that will make this trip more spontaneous and fun! You can visit places off the tourist-track and enjoy the nature and landscapes that you’ll cross! Ohh and what about singing along to all those songs on the radio, eat way too much candy and play those road-trip games!
About the look
So of course I also want to tell you a little bit about today’s look! Because I’m wearing a very special bag! I also love my popcorn shirt, that I found in the cutest boutique here in Houston, Haute Dimensions! Trust me, they have the most original and stylish pieces for the best prices! And this red leopard jacket is one that I just had to add as both tiger prints and red is hot and trendy this Fall!
