24 May Bumpdate ♥ 25 weeks
Happy Thursday! I’m beyond excited as I’m 25 weeks pregnant today! Yes, there is a tiny human being growing in me and I’m so thankful and happy to become a mom and to experience this beautiful pregnancy! I feel these nine months are flying by and have to admit I can’t wait to meet my baby boy. Especially now that we got our amazing Stokke Trailz Nordic Terrain Stroller; everything starts to feel so real. We love the mix of the design, functionality with true Scandinavian style. Moreover, Stokke‘s philosophy is to create prams that connect parents and baby. I feel very lucky as we got the limited edition in Nordic Blue so there won’t be a lot of other children exploring the world in the same color; even though the other colors are also very pretty. This stroller is everything you need for beautiful adventures in the great outdoors with its strong and robust construction. And that is exactly what we are planning on doing as a family in only 15 weeks! I’m excited to share with you all the ins and outs in this bump-date! Enjoy the read…
Bumpdate ♥ 25 weeks pregnant
How far along? 25 weeks (second trimester) which equals almost 6 months and the baby is as big as a papaya / bunny.
Kicking? Yes, I think I have a little soccer player in my tummy as he is kicking all the time. Especially during the night or when his dad is talking to him. I think they will be best friends from the second he will be born.
Total weight gain? Of course I gained weight, haha; in total 8 kilos already… I have a twin sister with a similar body that I had pre-pregnancy and I think it is so funny to compare and to watch how this pregnancy is changing my body.
Workout? Yes, I love swimming which I do 3 times a week; between 1000 and 1500 meters. I also try to have a little walk at night.
Skincare? To avoid getting stretch marks, I love to use the stretch marks cream from the TINY RITUALS line as well as really nice body oil by WELEDA – which is working so far. I also put on a lot of sunscreen as I’m very scared of getting a pregnancy mask.
Cravings? Well I’m just hungry all the time. Maybe also because I can’t eat that much during lunch or dinner, so I snack a lot. Trying to keep it healthy (mostly to avoid getting a sugar craving baby) but I do have to admit that I can’t keep myself from eating ice cream and chocolate. Fish is something I have been disliking during this pregnancy and still prefer sausages and other saucy food.
Maternity clothes? Some – but still not completely necessary yet. I still prefer to wear leggings that stretch over my belly with oversized tops. And this maternity dress, of course:)
Name? Well, we have a very good option and I’m almost 100% convinced. I think the name should fit the expectations we have for our little boy and our family-to-be. I really think picking the right name is a hard one..!
Miss anything? Not really… Except for the fact that I’m just still very tired at night, so I still go to bed at 9pm. Normally pregnant ladies are super energised in their second trimester, which is not the case here. Apparently my blood pressure is super low, which isn’t dangerous for the baby, just causing the tiredness.
Ailments? No nothing; just joy. However I do lie awake at night because of our little soccer player, but I enjoy it as much as I can.
Outfits? Shopping baby outfits is seriously the greatest thing there is. My husband shopped a lot for him when he visited the USA two weeks as we love to dress him in exclusive pieces. We also were gifted a lot of cute shoes, rompers and cuddly toys.
Look forward to? Moving into our new house (soon more about this!!) and preparing the baby room!
