Looking cool and chic in the City by the Bay

One of my favourite things to do in the weekends is to jump on my bike and explore San Francisco! From Hayes Valley to the Painted Ladies and via Fillmore Street to the Marina to enjoy a coffee with the beautiful view over the Golden Gate Bridge. On my way back I always stop at the Palace of Fine Arts, an extraordinary monumental building originally constructed for an art exposition in 1915. I have already been to all these places at least a dozen times in the past few months, but I just can’t get enough of these sights… I always like to wear something that is practical for in the city and has a mix of urban and elegant style. As a picture can say more than thousand words, I decided to shoot this cool and chic city look on each of these places.

Spicy Scarves

As you know from this and this article, I have a great weakness for the exclusive designs of Spicy Scarves, an Amsterdam fashion label that creates beautiful accessories. The scarf that I’m wearing today has the San Francisco spirit and is perfect to complement any elegant street style look. It has a cool and city chic appearance with the handcrafted frills. The scarf has an exceptional 3d effect because of the different layers in funky pink and blue that is synonymous for the water that surrounds San Francisco. You can’t really leave the house without a scarf in San Francisco as the temperature changes on every corner. With this beauty from Spicy Scarves I enhanced my look, no matter whether I wore it as a cape, scarf or as a shawl (more information on how to wear this spicy accessory here). This is an accessory that enables you to be adventurous urban lady, in the most elegant way.

Tobi Boyfriend Jeans

This is my first pair of boyfriend denim trousers and I finally understand why every one loves these trousers so much! These Tobi jeans are also heavily destroyed, another cool feature that I haven’t that many times before. But like I said, the Spicy Scarf made me adventurous and I finally dared to wear them. To emphasise the cool part of this look, I paired these jeans with my Keds sneakers. The bomber jacket connects the cool part as well as the city chic part of this look as it als has a subtle elegant shine.

Leontine Hagoort Bag

Leontine Hagoort is probably one of my favorite designers. For this reason I’m so excited to parade with this elegant double flap shoulder bag through San Francisco. It is crafted with two playful tassels hanging on the side and it has an adjustable shoulder strap. This leather accessory makes people look at my arm twice and I am frequently asked where I found such a special piece of arm-candy. I can’t blame them, because you don’t see often a bag that has been made with such a great eye for detail. You can tell that Leontine Hagoort herself has a great passion for drawing bags and that she brings across her positive energy and inspiration while doing so. And as you can tell from my smile, her designs also have that effect on me!
