04 Aug The Best Blooming Birthday Brunch!
Ohhhh, how I love roses, champagne and birthdays!! They all came together last Saturday at The Ivy restaurant in West Hollywood. It is the most colourful restaurant I have ever been. There were bright coloured roses everywhere and we were welcomed with a glass of champagne. And after we sat down at our romantic table on the beautiful flowery terrace, the scones arrived with fresh marmalade and butter. For a second I thought that my husband secretly told the waiter that it was my birthday, but then I noted that everyone was welcomed with these drinks and sweets (how wonderful!). The menu offers nouvelle American cuisine. My man immediately knew that he wanted the eggs Benedict (so so yummy) and I finally opted for the homemade fig, apricot & pecan brioche french toast with fresh fruits and berries (the best ever). When we left we got some homemade cookies for on the way. This was the best birthday brunch ever. And I hope that any of you who will visit Los Angeles in the future, will go to The Ivy Restaurant as well!!
