17 Jan All Monocrome…
Tony Cohen is about to show his new collection! This designer will show his new Autumn/Winter 2016 collection at 20:45 in the Gashouder. Approximately 10 years ago he established this brand and since then he has been a very popular Dutch designer. He is known for his unique approach to luxurious materials and dedication to detail of which the Tony Cohen dress in the pictures is the perfect example. His former collection, Spring/Summer 2016, was all about making the women feel powerful by using a natural color palette, graphic cut outs and square shapes in his designs. I’m very curious to find out what he keeps in store for the fashion show tonight!
Oldschool bags x Bas Kosters
The bag I carry is a bit nostalgic as it does remind me of the bags we used to bring to school. Three years ago OldSchool Bags ‘reinvented’ the iconic messenger schoolbag. Not only for carrying your schoolbooks, but more specific, to wear this bag in every day life. They have a kinds of sizes, colours and prints available, but my favourite so far is this limited edition bag with the edgy and merry print. The rebellious and eccentric fashion designer Bas Kosters has designed a mini-collection for this bag label and his bags all have the characteristic illustrations of the designer.
Two worlds apart
I decided to combine this all monochrome dress with this bag of two designers that are worlds apart from each other. Tony Cohen is known for his clean and feminine designs and has the philosophy to make woman look even more gorgeous in his designs. This dress makes me feel confident and pretty whereas this bag is a statement piece; edgy, fierce and a bit recalcitrant. But still I think that this outfit works very well and that they both complement each other. Do you agree with my opinion of would you never combine such prints and styles in one look?!
