Christmas Memories

Bag at You Christmas Memories Granny

What are your favorite Christmas memories? I have many and I admit that I love all the traditional activities that come with this holiday year after year. For me Christmas is being with family, doing lots of board games with my siblings, picking chocolates out the Christmas tree, enjoying the most beautiful decorations and of course… dressing up for our big family Christmas dinner!

Bag at You toilet roll at ChristmasWhen I still lived with my parents, we all (being three generations: granny, my aunt, my cousins, my mother, my sister and me) went to the hairdresser for this event. The most artistic and beautiful creations were put in our hair – one year my hairdresser even tied a toilet roll to my head to try to create the same bun as Heidi Klum (yes, don’t say… I will never ever try that again!). So once we were happy with our hair, we went home to put on our Christmas dresses and to grab our bags for the big family party.

Our Christmas dinner used to be at the house of my grandparents, but since last year we broke with this tradition. We now celebrate Christmas at Allure, one of my grandparents’ favorite restaurants in Rotterdam. Bag at You Christmas Memories 2Fortunately, that did not withhold my father to make a speech, which is a tradition as well and the favorite part of our Christmas party. I therefore sincerely hope he will give one this year!

What are your plans for Christmas? What will you be wearing? And please tell me if you have a funny Christmas story (in the comment-section below:))! In any case, I wish you all a wonderful holiday! If you don’t put a toilet roll in your hair, I know for sure that you will have an amazing Xmas!

One more thing, if you want to do some shopping during this feast, Zalando, de Bijenkorf, Forever 21, ASOS and Tommy Hilfiger all have big big sale!
