Lovers, adventure seekers, wine addicts and shopaholics! I found you the perfect place to visit in California. As well as the perfect hotel, which is always playing a big part of turning your weekend-getaway into a success! So if you love tasting wine, beautiful beaches, art, restaurants and shopping, you have to visit Carmel. Carmel is a wonderfully romantic town on the west coast of California. It is only 2 hours away from San Francisco by car and it offers everything you could possibly want for your weekend-trip. Carmel has old European-style vibes nestled above a picturesque white-sand beach where everything is within walking distance from your charming hotel, like The Hotel Carmel. After the absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving celebration and the black Friday-craziness, we went to The Hotel Carmel for some romance and quiet time. As soon as you walk into the charming lobby, you feel treated to all the comforts of home amidst the fresh breeze of the Ocean. It is a super cozy living room and I enjoyed reading my book and a glass of wine here later in the afternoon. Also, breakfast is served here every morning and at sunset the guests can enjoy a complimentary happy hour with the best wines from Northern California in this living room. Via the lovely courtyard, we walked to our room while we heart the bubbling sounds of the jacuzzi. Our room was a traditional cottage where the fire place was crisping, a kind welcome note was waiting on our large king-size bed and the relaxing seaside vibes were coming over us. The Hotel Carmel is located in the center of Carmel By The Sea, at 4th & San Carlos which is very close to the shops, beach, galleries, tasting rooms and restaurants. The Hotel Carmel is also home to Brophy’s Tavern, which is a great place for having lunch and watching sports with the locals, like we did on Saturday. The warm garden courtyard was the perfect place to hang out with a book and a coffee in the morning. Each of the 27 guest rooms and suites have view on this patio.

Homemade granola and fresh bagels, YES PLEASE!! I loved how we enjoyed this delicious breakfast in the cozy living room surrounded with the other art lovers, shopaholics and couples!
I could sit here for hours! Especially as the complimentary wine tasting starts here at 5:30pm.
