30 Jun Paul’s Boutique Bag
When I studied in London five years ago I had a special Saturday ritual. I loved waking up late as I worked in the local pub on Friday night, going to Portobello Road, visiting TopShop on Oxford Circus whereafter I would dress up for the big party night out. I don’t know about you, but when I go abroad, it is easy to be infatuated by a local fashion brand. Many women will probably wear an item of this “new” label which often has a prime spot in the best shopping streets or stores. Like Paul’s Boutique in TopShop back in 2010. This brand was founded at London’s Portobello Road Market in 2000 and created handbags with a unique glam and striking designs. These accessories were to be worn by the cool and edgy London girls. But I guess that the Dutchies were also waiting for this UK brand to cross the sea and color up our grey & black bag-landscape. And Paul’s Boutique finally did so last year. When I started at TheBagStore.nl as Webshop Manager Bags I was very excited to spot this label in our assortment. These bags are very wanted by the young and fashionable women and many bloggers have chosen their favorite already, like Cotton & Cream, Fashion Attacks and fashion is a party. My favorite is the Betsy, a large fashionable handbag which is perfect for someone that suffers from a “I always put tooooo many things in my bag”-disorder. This handbag has the characteristic polkadot lining, silver colored hardware and the perfect size to carry all daily essentials like a purse, sunglasses, brush, camera and if necessary my laptop. This Paul’s Boutique bag will be my favorite summer compagnon, especially with this bright colourful skirt that floats through the air and white blouse!
Paul’s Boutique Tas
Toen ik in Londen studeerde vijf jaar geleden had ik een speciaal ritueel op zaterdag. Nadat ik lekker had uitgeslapen omdat ik vrijdagavond had gewerkt in de lokale pub, ging ik naar Portobello Road, bezocht ik TopShop op Oxford Circus en ging me daarna snel omkleden voor de big party in één van de clubs op zaterdagavond. In het buitenland ben je al snel geïmponeerd van de lokale mode merken. Waarschijnlijk zie je veel vrouwen op straat die een of ander item dragen van dit “nieuwe” label dat ook vaak de beste spot heeft op een voorname locatie of in een winkel. Zo was het ook met Paul’s Boutique in Topshop in 2010. Dit merk is in 2000 opgericht en de tassen met een unieke stijl en opvallende designs werden eerst verkocht op Portobello Road Market. Deze accessoires waren ontworpen voor de armen van de cool & edge girls uit Londen. En wij konden alleen maar afwachten totdat dit Engelse merk de overtocht zou maken naar ons grijs met zwarte tassenlandschap. En dat deed Paul’s Boutique dan ook vorig jaar. Ik was blij verrast dat de tassen van Paul’s Boutique tot de collectie van TheBagStore.nl behoorden toen ik daar begon als Webshop Manager Tassen. Deze tassen zijn erg gewild door de jonge en stijlvolle dames en vele bloggers hebben al hun favoriete model geshowd, zoals ook Cotton & Cream, Fashion Attacks and fashion is a party. Mijn favoriet is de Betsy, een grote modieuze tas die perfect is voor iemand met een “ik stop altijd te veel spullen in mijn tas”-stoornis. Deze Paul’s Boutique tas heeft de kenmerkende polkadot voering, zilverkleurige hardware en de perfecte maat om al mijn spullen mee te nemen zoals een portemonnee, zonnebril, borstel, camera en – als het nodig is – ook mijn laptop. Deze Paul’s Boutique tas wordt mijn partner in crime deze zomer, zeker in combinatie met deze kleurrijke rok en witte blouse.
