The perfect stay at the Omni Dallas Hotel!

The perfect stay at the Omni Dallas Hotel!

As you know, we love to travel! Whether it is far away from home or a short drive, discovering new places is always an exciting adventure! And our last trip was to Dallas, a big city that is only 3 hours away from Houston. One of the most iconic hotels is the Omni Dallas Hotel and it didn’t take long to decide that this was the place to be. The hotel has an amazing pool, a wonderful spa, beautiful views, many local art and the best culinary hotspots in Dallas!

The Hotel Room

We were warmly welcomed in our beautiful suite with champagne and strawberries covered in chocolate and of course we couldn’t wait to pop the bottle! While we enjoyed our glass of champagne from our comfortable couch, we admired the view as the hotel room windows are all glass. From here you have beautiful panoramas over the city! We had a separate spacious bed room, with a large closet, another couch and desk. And to have a bath room like this… That is a serious girl’s dream coming true. The bath was so spacious  and had an incredible view as well. We also had two separate restrooms, which is even for a married couple ultimate luxury!

Pegasus Landmark and art at The Omni Dallas Hotel

The big red-colored Pegasus is a landmark for Dallas and definitely one of the things to see when you visit Dallas. This important piece of local iconic art once flew high above the Dallas skyline, but now it is back on earth and landed next to the Omni Dallas Hotel. The hotel represents the perfect landing place for the flying horse as it showcases over 7000 pieces of original iconic Dallas artwork. These pieces of art have been made by 150 artists from the area and can be admired throughout the guest rooms, public spaces, culinary venues and the hotel’s common areas.

The Pool

Dallas has amazing weather in summer and you’ll therefore find many hotel guests at the pool. And even if the sun isn’t out, you can enjoy the hot tub and the bar, that has amazing views over the city of Dallas. It was therefore also one of my favourite amenities of the hotel. I love to enjoy the infinity pool in the morning and watch the sunset with a cocktail in my hand from here. The sun beds were super comfortable and the Omni Dallas Hotel also offers complimentary wifi here. So you can even do some work while you have your feet in the water.

The Mokara Spa

The Spa of the Omni Dallas Hotel is probably one of the finest I have ever been! The Mokara SPA offers a full range of spa treatments to relax your body and soul, including facials, massages, manicure, pedicure and hairdresser. When I arrived for my Mokara massage, I was kindly welcomed with a mimosa. After that, Cassandra gave me the best massage I ever had. The sauna was a wonderful experience as well and the fresh water and fruits were completing my relaxing afternoon.

Texas Spice

Every morning we had breakfast at Texas Spice Restaurant. This is an award winning restaurant and brings farm to table. Jan Loov is the chef de cuisine. You will find yourself in a stylish setting with skyline views and delicious breakfast where local ingredients and southern style come together. The granola and the brisket hash are amazing as well as the  buffet. Besides breakfast, they also serve lunch and dinner.

The location of Omni Dallas Hotel

I loved the location of the Omni Dallas Hotel as well, 555 S Lamar St, Dallas. From here, it is only 5 minutes to downtown and the highlights of the city like the Sixth Floor Museum, John F. Kennedy Memorial Plaza, House of Blues and The Dallas World Aquarium. If you want to go to another part of town, you can just ask the Valet parking to get your car and via the freeways you can easily move around in town. So yes, I would definitely say that the Omni Dallas Hotel is your perfect place to stay when you visit Dallas.

As always, thank you for reading! XoXo Susanne!
