Grab your bag and go to Nacional Amsterdam. Not only for the truffle fries, but more for its relaxed vibe and casual atmosphere. It is a classic French bistro with a touch of New York where you can have breakfast, brunch, lunch, bites and dinner. It is another hotspot by Casper Reinders in the city centre of Amsterdam. As you can tell by the combination of tea and coffee with salad and french fries, I opted for lunch. For lunch they joined forces with Paper Planes, which is a pop-up restaurant where you can enjoy all day breakfast and comfort brunch food. Sounds like the perfect combination, and now I can state from personal experience that it is indeed! I’ll definitely come back for diner soon as I have heard that the French cuisine-inspired menu with traditional dishes like Steak Tartare, Duck Confit and grilled Poussin is just right. I will then order a glass of red wine and my new favourite side dish: the truffle fries!
