07 May MYOMY My Black Bag
This weekend I realized again that we live in such a beautiful and talented country. I was lucky to spend the weekend in Nijmegen with my family and brought these beautiful bags by MYOMY. Two shoulderbags for only two days away from home – I guess this confession coming from a bagaholic is no surprise. But I also encourage you to do the same when you go on a short weekend trip. Why? Just scroll down and find the answer!
But first a little introduction about MYOMY. This Dutch brand is known best for the famous bag named My Paper Bag. In 2007 MYOMY was set up with the ambition to create products that would enhance the planet with respect for all humans, animals and nature. This fashion label creates accessories with the fairtrade certification which means that each bag contributes to a decent human life by offering health care or education in countries where these fundamentals are not self-evident. The bags are made of 100% ecologically tanned buffalo leather that comes from cows that have lived a good life. Each bag has therefore its unique color and character. To match fair-trade production with high end designs MYOMY collaborates with talented designers. This year MYOMY teamed up with the skilled designer Yvette van Eijndhoven & I am very happy to show you two of her best purses, both handmade in Mongolia:
My Black Bag
This MYOMY bag is a big shopper that was the perfect escort during my train travels as well as when we visited the city center of Nijmegen. This handbag was designed to solve the problem that many women often tend to face: searching one particular item on the bottom of your overly filled bag. For that reason, Yvette van Eijndhoven added a sophisticated zipper on one side of the bag. This way, My Black Bag is elegant, practical and has an exclusive look.
My Little Black Bag
My Little Black Bag might be small but is super efficient and versatile. This bag has a fancy zipper that makes this bag very pragmatic. It is a very good compagnion during active day- and night times. One of our activities this weekend was a biking tour (34 km!!!) through the beautiful green surroundings of Nijmegen. You might understand that it was perfectly convenient to carry this bag around my shoulder. But also at night, when we went for dinner and drinks, this Little MYOMY Bag was a subtle and solid eye-catcher.
You probably now understand why I carried both bags during this weekend trip. Which one is your favorite?
