So when my husband asked me whether I wanted to go to Seattle, the answer was simple. This city had been on top of my bucket list for a long time, so I was very excited to finally go there. And when I asked my best friend ‘Google’ to find me a ‘romantic boutique hotel’, Hotel Ändra in Seattle popped up. This hotel has the best location, had the best reviews and was voted to be the best hotel in Washington State in 2016 by U.S. World & News Report. So you can imagine that when my husband asked me where we would be staying during our weekend trip, the answer was simple as well! Last Thursday we packed our bags and flew to Seattle. As soon as we walked into the living room-lobby we felt very welcome in this charming boutique hotel and got very excited to call Hotel Ändra our home for three days.

Seattle is a real seaport city and surrounded by mountains, evergreen forests and water. The futuristic Space Needle is its most iconic landmark and it is home to a large tech industry. From our ‘Seattle Downtown Boutique Hotel‘ we were able to explore the entire city. The location is very important when I pick a hotel for a city trip. Hotel Ändra has the perfect downtown location which enabled us to have the ultimate Seattle experience in all comfort and style. It was only 5 minutes away from the Seattle Waterfront, the famous Pike Market and the Westlake Shopping Centre and within a 10 minutes walk we were at the Space Needle. Also the underground is very close and taxis can easily stop in front of the hotel. Hotel Ändra is home to the famous Tom Douglas Cooking Class, Hot Stove Society and Lola Restaurant, which is the place to be if you want to go for brunch downtown. Or, if you stay in the hotel, you can order room service (big YAY). We had the donuts, porridge and granola which were absolutely fabulous!

The sophisticated and stylish rooms offer everything you could wish for after you come back from a day in the vibrant city. Hotel Ändra offers in-room spa services and complimentary Wi-Fi. We stayed in the LUX Suite with a King bed. When we entered the room we stepped into a little entree with on our left the bathroom, on our right the walk in closet and in front a cozy living room. The living room was furnished with a appealing sofa, a salon chair, a desk and a big tv. The bedroom was divided from the living room with romantic French doors. We had a twice daily maid service, who left us delicious chocolates every day (thank you!!). The view was another highlight of the room. We had four windows that looked over the city and in the distance I could see the snowy mountains. Doesn’t this sound like the perfect room to getaway with your love?!
